We put 10 questions to the newest Supre babe.
Spoiler alert: she absolutely slays it

Hi India-Rose! Should we call you Indi?

I prefer Rose actually!

Rose it is. So tell us about your background

I was born in Australia, but all my family and relatives are Kiwis. I spent the majority of my childhood growing up in Paraparaumu, near Wellington, in a little house right on the beachside. Every morning I’d wake up to the sound of waves crashing and sea spray on the windows. The only thing I didn’t enjoy about New Zealand was how cold it was!

We hear you’re quite the ballerina! Multitalented much??

I’ve been training classical ballet for 13 years now, and I have honestly learnt so much. It’s not just about being able to do three pirouettes in a row - you learn all about basic etiquette, dedication and commitment, all while challenging yourself both mentally and physically.

What do you love about dance?

Having the ability to express myself through movement, and communicate a message to the audience without speaking a single word. For someone like me, who has always been a little bit introverted, it’s my release and a way of expressing myself.

You’re living in Byron Bay.What do you like about the lifestyle?

I just love it. The vibe here is so laidback, and everyone who comes here is bound to have a good time. I’ve always been a bit addicted to the beach, and it’s only a minute’s walk away now which is heaven.

How did you get into modelling?

I think my story is a little different to your average scouting tale… One of my cousins knew a photographer for my agency, and he saw one of my photos on social media and sent it to the Paris office. From there, my agency tracked me down and I got my contract last year, just after my 16th Birthday. Best present ever!

Are you excited to be joining the Girl Gang?

I was so stoked when I found out! I did an embarrassingly bad victory dance around the room and then couldn’t stop smiling for the rest of the night. I just love the whole experience of meeting new people, messing around on set, getting to know the other girls and spending time with the team. It’s always so much fun; it doesn’t feel like work at all.

How would you describe your personal style?

It’s pretty masculine. I love oversized jeans, T-shirts with funky prints, trackies, massive jumpers and my staple boots which I wear everywhere. I’d wear a tux over a dress to a formal occasion any day. My brothers always complain because I steal all of their clothes…

What do you get up to with your girlfriends?

As long as I’m with them, anything we do is fun. Blasting the music and dancing like crazy people, baking brownies, late night chats at sleepovers, talking about boy problems… Just knowing that when I need them, they will always be there for me. As corny as that sounds it’s actually so true. I am so, so grateful to them for their support, it really means the world to me, and I don’t tell them often enough.

What advice do you have for girlswho might look up to you?

You can achieve anything you set your heart to.If you are passionate and willing to commit and sacrifice anything to pursue it, you can make it happen.Put in the hard work, because nothing comes easily. No matter how much natural talent you have, do the study and put yourself out there. Be spontaneous, confident and grounded, and never lose sight of your goals.
