MAJOR MAKEUP TIPS

Tiana Zaljevic is a total triple threat: stylist, blogger and makeup genius! That’s why, when it started to get cold out, and our usual beauty routines began to fail, we went to her for advice.

With the assistance of our winter knits and basics, Tiana showed us how to contour and highlight our way to looking like we just vaycayed in St Barts (lol we wish).

STEP 1:

Prep your face with a moisturising primer. I used two primers, Napoleon Auto Pilot Primer all over the face and Benefits "That Girl" brightening primer on the places I will be highlighting.

STEP 2:
Apply foundation, liquid preferably, and press in with a damp beauty blender.

STEP 3:
On the places of your face that you want to appear larger and brighter, apply a lighter concealer or foundation and blend with a beauty blender, followed by a light powder to set. To contour, use a matte brown powder bronzer on the areas you want to appear smaller. I use powders to contour as it is easier to blend than creams.

STEP 4:
To add colour and glow to the face, use a soft blush and apply to the apples of the cheeks. For the glow, I use High Beam by Benefit followed by the Carli Bybel Palette.

STEP 5:
For brows, use an angled brush and a cream colour that matches your eyebrows to fill out and line the shape you want. Underneath the brow, on the brow bone, apply a lighter concealer followed by an illuminator.

STEP 6:
For eyes, I used a dark brown from the Carli Bybel Palette on the outer V and blended it out with a fluffy brush. On the centre of my lid I used the light gold from the same palette very lightly as I wanted this look to be natural and subtle. On the inner corner of my eyes I used the bright illuminator to make my eyes look more awake and open.

STEP 7:
Line your lips with a lip liner and use a matte lipstick to complete the look. I used the Kylie Lip Kit liner in Dolce K, and Australis Velour Lips in Paree.

STEP 8:
Set your face with either a setting powder or spray.

WINTER STYLE MUST-HAVES:
A leather jacket, massive wooly coat, and turtle neck jumpers

TREND TO TRY:
Oversized jumpers with knee high boots!

ON A COLD SUNDAY YOU’LL MOST LIKELY FIND ME:
If I'm not working, definitely in bed on my laptop watching makeup tutorials and movies.

MY ULTIMATE BEAUTY PRODUCT:
I have too many to decide from!!! But I just bought the Kylie Lip Kits and I'm in loveee, plus the Carli Bybel Palette have the most pigmented eyeshadows and highlighters I've ever had.

MY WINTER WORKOUT:
Working out is something I very rarely do, but when I do have the motivation I love to do squats to help build that booty : )

I WOULD LOVE TO RAID THIS CELEBRITIES WARDROBE:
Basically any of the Kardashians/Jenners... have you seen their wardrobes!!

THE SHOW I’M BINGE WATCHING ON NETFLIX:
I don't have Netflix, but a show I'm binge watching is Girls, every episode just speaks to me.

I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG:
Roll Up Your Sleeves by Meg Mac, and Planes by Jeremih.

IF I COULD EAT ONE THING ALL WINTER::
I just discovered cheeseburgers from McDonalds with Big Mac sauce and it's life changing. Definitely would eat that every day if I could (editor's note: a girl after our own heart!)

MY PERFECT OUTFIT THAT TAKES ME FROM DAY TO NIGHT:
Skinny jeans, bodysuits, big winter coat and little boots during the day and thigh high boots and a leather jacket for night.
